Mesopotamia the Mighty & the Weak

How do historical turning points influence individuals and communities?

Bellingham Schools Research Investigation

6th Grade

Questioning
What do you need to know to solve the problem or make the decision?

1.    Which elements contributed to the success of Mesopotamia?

2.    Which elements contributed to the eventual decline of Mesopotamia?

Create a list of smaller questions that will guide your research.  These questions should help you decide what important information you need in order to answer the big questions above.

Some questions might be:

·        What determines strength?

·        What determines weakness?

·        What do I know about the six elements of a civilization?

Save your list of questions for use later in the decision making process.
