Educational Technology

Educational Technology provides leadership and direction for the effective implementation of educational technology services in Bellingham Public Schools, including (but not limited to) instructional coaching, library media centers and online learning.

Library Media Centers & Instructional Coaches

Library Media Specialists and Instructional Coaches at each of district’s schools coordinate the integration of information literacy and digital citizenship skills into instructional programs, and provide support and partnership with our teachers to use new and emerging tools in their instruction.

Online Learning

The Educational Technology office supports our BVL and Family Partnership programs, and coordinates the development and implementation of online learning in the Bellingham Public Schools.

Computer and Network Services

Computer and Network Services personnel support students and staff in the use of technology resources. There are three integrated operating elements: the district data center, the Help Desk support team, and the network services support team.

Technology Levy

The current technology levy was approved by voters in February 2024. This four year levy is effective January 2025; levy collections and related projects occurred through December 2028.

Technology Resources for Families

Bellingham Public Schools is committed to preparing students for a rapidly changing world. We realize that our students need guidance as they learn to be critical thinkers, respectful and compassionate humans, and honest citizens in digital spaces.

Assistive Technology

In close partnership with multiple departments, our team supports specialized technologies used to provide critical supports for student access to their learning. From supports for assisted listening to critical communication devices, we partner with teachers and specialists to provide the tools students need to learn and grow.

Printing and Digital Services

Printing and Digital Services provides a range of services to Bellingham Public Schools and educational partners. In addition to printing services, Educational Technology provides the retention of print and digital documents as required by District and State of Washington guidelines.
