Several schools across Bellingham participated in Bike to School Day (and scooter, roll, skate, walk, etc.) on Friday, May 16.
Several schools around Bellingham Public Schools had group bike routes and/or welcome stations, including a band welcome at Bellingham High School.
As one example, Carl Cozier Elementary School’s PTA organized a group route with three “rally point” locations so students could bike safely and arrive at school together.
As a result, nearly 50 students arrived at the school together along with accompanying parents/guardians, filling the Carl Cozier gym with bikes for the day.
Pictured in the photos accompanying this story are Carl Cozier Elementary, Whatcom Middle School and Bellingham High School.
