A Message from Superintendent Greg Baker

Dear students, staff, families and community members,  

Thank you for a great first day of the 2025-26 school year!  

We saw lots of smiles, high fives and hugs across our schools as our staff welcomed our students.  

Whether this is your first day ever or the first day of your senior year, we want every student and family to know that our staff are dedicated to making this a great year.  

Our strategic plan The Bellingham Promise guides our efforts, and this year, our focus is a statement in our mission: We collectively commit that our students are cared for and respected. To effectively inspire and teach kids, we know that they need to feel known, cared for and loved when they walk in our doors.  

We are looking forward to welcoming our kindergarteners and Promise kindergarteners to school on Thursday and preschool on Friday.
