Give out staff gold stars through Foundation award program, consider a donation to the BPSF

A Message from the Bellingham Public Schools Foundation

As we wrap up another incredible school year, we want to take a moment to celebrate the amazing teachers and staff who make Bellingham Public Schools such a special place for our kids.

Gold Star Awards

Remember how exciting it felt to get a gold star on your homework? Now it’s your turn to hand them out and the Bellingham Public Schools Foundation (BPSF) has found a way.

The foundation’s Gold Star Awards recognize the teachers, paraeducators, bus drivers, office staff, food service staff, custodians — anyone in BPS — who went above and beyond to brighten a student’s day, offer extra support, or make a lasting difference this year. If someone made your child feel seen, supported, inspired or excited to come to school, we’d love to hear about it.

Nominations are open now through the summer, and we encourage families to submit theirs before the school year ends. It takes only two minutes to complete.

Selected nominees will be honored at the foundation’s annual fall gala. Read about last year’s awardee Squalcium teacher Kay Reilly here.   Note: The Promising Futures award program is now the Gold Star award program.

Help us celebrate the everyday heroes of Bellingham Public Schools by submitting a nomination today!

End the school year with a donation to the Foundation

It was a very full school year in Bellingham Public Schools; every school year is.

Show your gratitude for all the support that was provided to your children by making a quick donation to the Foundation. These donations will fund future educator resources and grants. Your donations also help our neediest, most vulnerable families this summer. Basic needs don’t stop in the summer.

Consider a gift today to show how fortunate we are to live in such a bountiful, generous and loving community. Thank you in advance for your support.
