Information about eligibility for free and reduced-price meals and other benefits
A Message from Food Services
Dear families,
It’s not too late to fill out free and reduced-price meal applications.
Eligibility qualifies students for benefits beyond school meals including summer EBT (SUN bucks), waived or reduced program, athletics and activity fees.
You may complete an application at any time during the school year but those qualified by March 27, 2026 will also count towards your school’s opportunity for additional state or federal funding or to help qualify for universal no-cost meals next school year.
How do I determine eligibility?
- Students directly certified for benefits through Washington state’s Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS) automatically qualify for free and reduced-price meals and do not need to complete an application.
- Families not directly certified are encouraged to review the income guidelines and complete an application

- 2025-26 Letter to Households English Spanish
- To complete the online application, log in to Skyward Family Access and select the Food Services tab. If you have multiple students, you only need to complete the application once, listing all family members on the form
- Paper applications are available at your child’s school, the District Office, or food services.
