A Message from Communications and Community Relations 

The last day of school for the 2025-26 school year is Friday, June 12.

All schools are on an early dismissal schedule: 

·         Elementary schools dismiss at 12:20 p.m. 

·         Middle schools dismiss at 1:15 p.m. 

·         High schools dismiss at 2 p.m. 

Summer hours 

All school offices will be open June 15, 16, 17 and 18 from 8 a.m. to noon and 1 to 3 p.m., and the District Office will be operating on its regular hours 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. 

All school offices and the District Office will be closed Friday, June 19 for the Juneteenth holiday. 

Starting Monday, June 22 through Friday, Aug. 14, elementary and middle school offices will be closed to the public for the summer. 

Bellingham, Sehome and Squalicum high school offices will be open June 22 to July 2 (Monday through Thursday) from 8 a.m. to noon and 1 to 3 p.m. All high school offices will be closed July 6 to 17. BHS, SHS and SQHS reopen July 20 on a Monday-to-Thursday schedule through Aug. 14. 

Options High School is closed Monday, June 22 and reopens on Tuesday, Aug. 18. 

Beginning June 22 through Friday, Aug. 14, the District Office is open to the public from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and closed to the public on Fridays. 

All schools and the District Office are closed Friday, July 3 for the Independence Day holiday. 

Please note the following dates for the 2026-27 school year: 

·         The first day of school for grades 1 to 12 is Monday, Aug. 31. 

·         Family entry conferences will be scheduled for kindergarten, Promise K and preschool on Aug. 31 and Sept. 1. 

·         The first day for kindergarten, Promise K and preschool is Wednesday, Sept 2.
