We want to share some key dates for the 2027-28 school year.

Please note that we plan to publish a complete calendar with early dismissal days/times soon for both the 2026-27 and 2027-28 school years.

This webpage has our most up-to-date calendars and key dates.  

Key dates for 2027-28*

• Monday, Aug. 30, 2027: First day of school (grades 1 to 12)
• TBD: First day of school (kindergarten and Promise K)
• TBD: First day of school (preschool)
• Monday, Sept. 6, 2027: Labor Day: No school/holiday
• Friday, Sept. 17, 2027: No school/teacher workday
• Thursday, Nov. 11, 2027: No school/holiday (Veterans Day)
• Thursday, Nov. 25 – Friday, Nov. 26, 2027: No school/holiday (Thanksgiving)
• Monday, Dec. 20 to Friday, Dec. 31, 2027 (winter break)
• Monday, Jan. 3, 2028: Classes resume
• Monday, Jan. 17, 2028: No school/holiday (Martin Luther King Jr. Day)
• Friday, Jan. 21, 2028: No school/day of commemoration (Treaty Day observed)
• Monday, January 24, 2028: Semester break
• Monday, Feb. 21, 2028: No school/holiday (Presidents Day)
• Monday, April 3 –Friday, April 7, 2028: No school (Spring Break)
• Friday, May 19, 2028: No school or weather makeup day if needed
• Monday, May 29, 2028: No school/holiday (Memorial Day)
• Friday, June 9, 2028: Tentative last day of school (school year may be extended based on snow/closures)
• Monday to Tuesday, June 12-13, 2028: Weather makeup days if needed
• Monday, June 19, 2028: Juneteenth holiday
   

We work hard to establish our school year calendars as early as possible and create a calendar that best meets the needs for all grade levels and families.

Please remember that inclement weather and other circumstances could require calendar adjustments, especially with snow days, and that the last day of the school year is subject to change.
