A Message from Communications and Community Relations

We want to share some key dates for the 2026-27 school year. We work hard to establish our school year calendars as early as possible and create a calendar that best meets the needs for all grade levels and families.

We plan to publish a complete calendar with staff learning days, early dismissals and make-up snow days soon. Be sure to bookmark our school calendars webpage.

Please remember that inclement weather and other circumstances could require calendar adjustments, especially with snow days, and that the last day of the school year is subject to change.

Key dates for 2026-27*

• Aug. 31, 2026: First day of school (grades 1 to 12)
• Sept. 2, 2026: First day of school (kindergarten and Promise K)
• TBD: First day of school (preschool)
• Sept. 7, 2026: Labor Day: No school/holiday
• Sept. 18, 2026: No school/teacher workday
• Nov. 11, 2026: No school/holiday (Veterans Day)
• Nov. 26 - 27, 2026: No school/holiday (Thanksgiving)
• Monday, Dec. 21, 2026 to Friday, Jan. 1, 2027 (winter break)
• Monday, Jan. 4, 2027: Classes resume
• Monday, Jan. 18, 2027: No school/holiday (Martin Luther King Jr. Day)
• Friday, Jan. 22, 2027: No school/day of commemoration (Treaty Day)
• Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2027: Semester break
• Monday, Feb. 15, 2027: No school/holiday (Presidents Day)
• April 5 –9, 2027: No school (Spring Break)
• Friday, May 21, 2027: No school or weather makeup day if needed
• Monday, May 31, 2027: No school/holiday (Memorial Day)
• Friday, June 11, 2027: Tentative last day of school (school year may be extended based on snow/closures
• Monday to Wednesday, June 14-16, 2027: Weather makeup days if needed
• Friday, June 18, 2027: Juneteenth holiday
