Bellingham Public Schools will host the annual Back-to-School Family Block Party, a resource fair for all district families, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 22. The event will take place at Bellingham High School, located at 2020 Cornwall Avenue.

School and community partner tables will provide important resources for starting the school year. The community event will include signups for Whatcom School Partners, formerly called Operation School Bell, a program of the Action League of Bellingham that provides new school clothes for eligible families.

Hoagland Pharmacy will run an onsite vaccine clinic during the event. If you plan to have your children receive vaccinations at the Block Party, please fill out this online form so Hoagland is prepared with the correct number and type of immunizations. Flu shots will not be provided at this event.

First come, first served sports physicals for athletes in grades 6 to 12 will be provided by local partners and Sea Mar Community Health Centers at Options High School. If students plan to get a sports physical at the Block Party, log into FinalForms ahead of time and complete the student’s health history and medical profile. Please print and bring the completed forms with you if you can.

Barbers and stylists will give haircuts onsite (all grades) and there will also be snacks, outdoor field activities and entertainment for the whole family.

If families visit at least eight (8) school, program and community partner tables, they can be entered into a raffle for $100 gift cards.
