Mission

Our mission is to collaboratively serve the youth of the Bellingham community by utilizing available resources to provide comprehensive support. We are committed to providing activities/programs/support that enhance academic and cultural experiences, support the whole child, and ensure every student acquires the knowledge, skills, and character to become a productive citizen. In line with the Bellingham Promise, we aim to create opportunities enriched with partnerships that ensure our students have the support they need to thrive.

Vision

We envision a community where every student reaches their full potential. Through strong partnerships and holistic support, we aim to equip students with the tools to excel academically, culturally, and personally and contribute positively to a changing world.

Cynthia and Renee are shining examples of the way community partners impact our schools, exemplifying The Bellingham Promise in action.

Over many years, Cynthia and Renee have supported our teachers, instructional coaches and leaders in so many ways as we have implemented locally-focused Indigenous centered curriculum in support of the John McCoy (lulilaš) Since Time Immemorial: Tribal Sovereignty curriculum.

Dr. David Beatty is known as “Dr. Dave” to students and has been passionate in providing science education, specifically salmon education, for decades.

His efforts have been instrumental in community-supported organizational work to ensure each elementary school in Bellingham Public Schools has a fish tank for students to observe and care for salmon eggs.
